Garbage In, Garbage Out

An AI chatbot is only as good as the data it's trained on. If you feed it outdated or contradictory information, it will give poor answers. To get the best results, you need to curate your knowledge base carefully.

1. Structure Your Data

Clear headings and concise paragraphs help the AI "read" your content better. Avoid large walls of text. Use bullet points for lists and ensure that frequently asked questions are explicitly stated.

2. Cover the Basics First

Start by training your bot on the top 20 questions your support team receives. Ensure these answers are perfect. This foundation will handle the majority of your traffic immediately.

3. Update Regularly

Your business changes, and so should your chatbot's knowledge. Make it a habit to review and update your training documents whenever you launch a new product or change a policy.

4. Test, Test, Test

Before launching, spend time chatting with your bot. Ask it tricky questions. See where it fails and adjust your training data accordingly. Continuous improvement is key to a successful AI deployment.
